Our Guides
Every guide in the APGN network has been personally vetted. They are not generalists: each one brings a specific body of knowledge built over decades in the field - from birding and botany to walking safaris, mountain climbing, gorilla trekking and cultural history. They are based across the whole continent of Africa, speak multiple languages and hold relevant professional qualifications and insurance. APGN provides each of them with operational and commercial support, which means when you book through us, you are getting the guide's full attention on your trip rather than on the paperwork. Daily fees range from $100 to $1,000+, depending on guide, duration and itinerary.
Click on each of the guides within our network to get to know them better including where they are based, which areas they guide in, what languages they speak and a outline daily fee or use the filter below to find the right guide for you.

Add an extra pair of helping hands to make your safari more relaxed and enjoyable for all - book one of our Safari Nannies!
Early morning game drives, sundowners on a rock and quieter middle of the day - it’s not the easiest daily routine for young children. So why not add a supersonic sidekick on your safari, in the form of one of our Safari Nannies.
Years of experience looking after children of all ages, well travelled on both land and air and trained in paediatric First Aid, our Safari Nannies can be booked to support our guides. An ideal addition to families or groups with children, our Safari Nannies are suited, booted and come armed with a variety of ways to make sure Mum & Dad have a restful trip and children have the time of their lives.
‘Working with African Private Guides Network has allowed me to bring a private guide to groups that have benefited beyond measure - whether its to keep young children (with the help of the Safari Nannies) engaged or to unite a group with different interest - these experts are a must-add to any upcoming safari in Kenya.’
