Doaa Khalifa

Doaa is a licensed Egyptologist and private English-speaking tour guide with a lifelong passion for history and storytelling. From a young age, she was fascinated by Egypt’s rich past, which led her to study history, civilisation, and archaeology at Cairo University. Upon completing her degree, she worked as a curator at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, including in the renowned King Tutankhamun section, the jewellery room, and at one of the royal palace museums.

While she valued her time in the museum world, it soon became clear that her true calling lay elsewhere - interacting with people and bringing Egypt’s stories to life. Determined to pursue her dream, she studied tourism and guidance while continuing to work, eventually earning her guiding licence and stepping fully into the role she had always envisioned.

Doaa is officially licensed and is a member of the Egyptian General Tourist Guides Association. Her guiding work has taken her across the country, from the iconic sites of Cairo and Giza to Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Al Fayoum, and beyond.

With her deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm, Doaa offers guests more than just historical facts - she provides an immersive understanding of Egypt’s layered civilisation, from its ancient Pharaonic roots to Greek, Roman, Christian, Jewish, and Islamic influences.
